This 1st Edition 1934 Whitman Publishing Company Big Little Book has some wear on the spine area! Overall, this is a very solid book and a better one, as grades go!
Written by Leon Morgan and Illustrated by Hal Arbo of the W Lazy 5 Ranch, Buffalo Bill and the Pony Express is a story about a young Billy Cody, who applies for a job as a Pony Express rider to support his family and must prove his abilities. The narrative combines adventure and historical elements, showcasing the challenges and excitement of delivering mail across the American frontier with action-driven narrative typical of pulp-era storytelling!
The graphics are incredible bright and clean for 90 year old book!!
TRIVIA: William Frederick Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill, was an American soldier, bison hunter, and showman. One of the most famous figures of the American Old West, Cody began performing at the age of 23. He performed in shows that displayed cowboy themes and episodes from the frontier and Indian Wars. He founded Buffalo Bill's Wild West in 1883! Cody was known as a conservationist who spoke out against hide-hunting and advocated the establishment of a hunting season!!
