206 - Feb. 1975 - FN! This kicks off with a great Nick Cardy cover! "The Legionnaires Who Haunted Superboy!" Superboy arrives at a demolition site to bring down an abandoned building to make way for a new playground & it starts to crumble on its own, as he He observes a figure inside bouncing against the wall causing the entire building to collapse! As the cloud of dust settles Superboy sees Ferro Lad standing amongst the rubble. The figure slingshots into the air leaving Superboy wondering if he has just witnessed some sort of illusion! The next day he sees Invisible Kid. Superboy is left bewildered as to how he has seen two Legionnaires that are already deceased. The two late Legionairres then reappear in Superboys basement. They ask Superboy to confirm their presence by having him scan their bodies with his x-ray vision. Superboy confirms that they are both composed of living tissue and are quite real! In the future, the Legionairres reveal that the two figures were actually clones whose lifespans only last for two days! The clones were created from actual living cells extracted from the real Ferro Land and Invisible kid but the cloning process remains flawed. The Legion had contacted Superboy to put their clones to the test to see if clones could really perform as reliably as the originals! "Welcome Home, Daughter ... Now Die!" Princess Projectra records diary entry 35G describing her recent adventures. She describes how she had to take leave from Legion headquarters to recover from Rigel Fever. She decides to travel back to her home planet of Orlando to spend time with her royal family. Her boyfriend Karate Kid becomes upset that Projectra will not be spending any time with him and storms off. Projectra embarks on her journey but arrives in Orando much earlier than expected...and She finds a cruel ruler sitting on her fathers throne and surmises that her father has been overthrown as king. The new ruler decrees that Projectra is a threat and must be disposed of without delay! Karate Kid suddenly appears and rescues Projectra from the creature. He had followed Projectra to apologize & informs her that she has landed on barren planetoid & everything she experienced had been an illusion of her illness that had distorted her projection powers making her think the planetoid was actually her home planet! As she speaks with him, Morgu makes a sudden appearance! and attacks the two Legionaires but Projectra uses her powers to conjure an illusion that distracts the creature and allows them to escape. They board her ship as Projectra invites Karate Kid to travel with her to the real planet of Orando! TRIVIA: Princess Projectra's mother is shown as an illusion, but she's given no name. She has never appeared, or been mentioned, again!!
207 - Mar. 1975 - FN! "The Rookie Who Betrayed the Legion!" The Legion is assigned to recapture Universo, but a Science Police officer seems to betray them! "You may be a crack policeman, Dvron..., but it'll take everything you have working alongside us!" — Superboy! "Lightning Lad's Day of Dread!" Lightning Lad flies a Legion craft to the site where his parents died a year ago. While there, he meets a foe who is also in mourning. TRIVIA: Universo's real name is said to be Argus Oranx III, which was later described as only an alias! ALSO, In this issue Garth Ranzz is stated to be Mekt's twin and Ayla is their younger sister. This is a rather glaring continuity error. Garth and Ayla are twins and Mekt is their older brother!!
