1948 SUPERMAN at the Gilbert Hall of Science PROMOTIONAL COMIC!! $100.00 + Shipping!
This VERY RARE 1948 Superman Promotional Comic Book was an advertising book for Gilbert science kits, Erector Sets, and American Flyer trains, but includes a number of full color vintage pictures of Superman! No. 12-1/2 Erector is for building a "remote control robot; #9-1/2 builds a parachute jump set, etc. Plenty of great vintage are very well rendered including lots of train sets and pictures of all the currently available accessories available through the Gilbert Toy Company! As Superman says as two young boys watch a passing train, "Railroading is full of thrilling action and spectacular drama!" Full color, 32-pages, 8-1/2-in. x 5-1/2-in., no cover price, published by The A. C. Gilbert Company, sent in mail.
Early Superman Promotional Comics only pop up once in a while and this one is complete with all pages. There is a small chunk out of the frot cover on the far right side, and a slight water stain (see pics) but, again, all else is here and complete and the colors are fantastic!
