Canna plants. 5’ – 6’ tall. Very ornamental and can stand-alone or make a great backdrop when planted in a bed with other plants in front. Red flowers. Bloom in late Summer and thru the first freeze. Prefer full sun but can handle partial sun. Fairly drought-tolerant. I received about a dozen rhizomes 20+ years ago and now have well over a hundred plants so they’re hardy and do multiply each year.
NOTE: This is a tropical plant that cannot handle Wisconsin winters. You must dig these up every fall and store them in a paper bag or box in your basement for winter. Then plant them again in 3’ – 6” holes the following Spring.
