First, some quick notes:
Parking -- We kindly ask for a 4 vehicle limit. The driveway is the only place to park and it is not very big :-).
Dock Install/removal -- Our dock for Cattail Cottage is located within short walking distance from the property. Check out the illustration we have in the photo gallery that shows where the dock is! We usually take the dock out of the water late October (we wait as long as we can) and we usually put it back in around mid/late April (we try to get it in as soon as we can). If you are looking at dates during either of these times of the year, don't hesitate to reach out to confirm status before booking.
Boats -- If you are thinking of bringing your own boat: The public boat landing on our lake is not very well maintained so it might be difficult to get your boat into the water. You are welcome however to bring your boat to run around some of the other lakes nearby. Parking your boat/trailer on our property might be an issue however, depending on how big your boat is. The road coming into the cabin is a single lane gravel road with no turn-arounds. The driveway is small too, so maneuvering boats might be a challenge. Feel free to reach out with questions.
The Space:
Cattail Cottage, built in 2021, is an open-concept cabin with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, finished walk-out basement, HUGE window wall facing the lake, and a screened-in porch. With 2,000 sq ft of heated/air conditioned living space, our cottage is spacious enough for 10 people. It has all the modern comforts of home, yet feels rustic and cozy at the same time. For the cooks in your group, the cottage has a complete kitchen with all brand-new appliances and large center island. We have pots, pans, utensils, and enough dishware for 10. For rainy days, enjoy our completely finished walk-out basement with game room. The ping pong table is sure to be a hit with the kids.
